We decided sometime ago that as a society we should be a repository for any publications or articles that relate in some way to the public house.
We have made a start by depositing a quantity of local CAMRA guides in the library, this has been supplemented by numerous pub history publications donated by members of the society.
We are keen to accept almost any material that is deemed relevant, some suggestions are below.
CAMRA pub guides
Local pub guides published by local CAMRA Branches.
Local history publications with references to pubs or breweries.
Lists of pubs extracted from historical sources.
Ephemera such as bills, receipts, letter heads, business cards or photos.
Family trees which include publicans or brewers.
Leaflets by breweries and pub groups.
Material from websites in electronic form.
Local CAMRA newsletters.
Any articles from:
Newspapers
Magazines
Local History Society Publications
Family History Society Publications
CAMRA Branch Newsletters
Other Society Publications
Other Organisations Publications
We are also happy to receive material relating to other subjects that are associated with pubs such as
Brewery history
Temperance
Music Hall
