Ye Olde Alehouses, Beerhouses, Hotels, Inns, Public Houses, Taverns and, Alcoholic Anecdotes of Loughborough through the ages.

Bill Wells

Fire - Talk UK Ltd

Loughborough

2003

It is an 84 page book, privately produced and is on sale at The Book Shop, Market Street,Loughborough. It contains almost 150 photos and illustrations mainly of pubs, many long gone and all the current ones. It also contains almost 240 entries of pub names and, where known, the name changes of them, the address, the date opened, and where appropriate, the date closed. When originally produced all profits from the book, which sold almost 650 copies in 9 months and raised £3,500, went to the fund for the families of the two Police Officers that were tragically killed on the A42 in Leicestershire in August 2002. That fund has now closed.
